A simple way to provide practical cooking and life-skills enrichment alongside the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The KC Classroom is a structured online cooking programme that gives young people the opportunity to develop practical cooking skills, confidence and independence from home.
As an approved DofE Activity Provider, The KC Classroom can support students completing their skills section while also contributing to your school's wider enrichment and personal development provision,
Your school doesn't need to deliver the programme. There's no school kitchen required, no specialist cooking teacher and no additional curriculum time needed.
Simply signpost students and parents to The KC Classroom, and students can enrol and work through the programme independently from home.
The KC Classroom is designed to compliment your school's existing provision.
Students choose cooking as their DofE Skills activity and follow a structured programme, practicing regularly and developing their skills over time.
The DfE Enrichment Framework identifies wider life and future skills as key areas of enrichment, including cooking, financial management and enterprise.
The KC Classroom supports theses areas through practical cooking, independence, planning, problem solving, budgeting, food costs and preparatuon for independent living.
